My version of the "Afghan Girl" from the June 1985 cover of Nation Geographic. I used my little sister, Faith as my model. Her green eyes are so striking and beautiful and when I was considering remaking the cover, I immediately thought of her. It's so nice having beautiful siblings when you are a photographer! lol...You save a ton of money on models! =)
I took this photo a long time ago and stumbled across it in my photobucket earlier. I love this photo, not only because it actually does remind me a lot of the photo I modeled it after, but also because it is a beautiful photo of my little sister.
